My friend invited us to join her and her daughter in the Smokey Mountains for a girls' weekend. We were there at the peak of Fall colors. It was absolutely beautiful.
We had a wonderful time! The property where we stayed had yard chickens and two goats. Grace was apprehensive about the animals but quickly realized that it was safe, thanks to Haydon, who was like Grace's big sister the whole weekend. The dress Grace is wearing was a gift from Haydon. It used to be hers. Grace was thrilled to have another dress up outfit.
In addition to enjoying the property. We also enjoyed the funky quirkiness of downtown Asheville. We saw glass blowers, artisans and went to a chocolate lounge.
There's nothing like a mountain hike to appreciate Mother Nature's works of art.
Finding a rock with sparkles is further proof of fairies.
Grace really loved these goats. They were gentle and greeted us every time we came and went.
We had the best time but we missed Jeff & the boys. We were happy to be back in Virginia.
