Myrtle Beach 3

We (the whole family, even Grace) helped put together three puzzles during our trip.  I was surprised how much the kids enjoyed the challenge.

Grace even did her own puzzles by herself.

On our second day there, we had a leak in our room.  The resort moved us to a penthouse on the 14th floor for our trouble.  With that move we got an extra bedroom, bathroom, more living space and an amazing view.  It's the first time I've ever been happy about a leak!

Sunset was my favorite time of the day.

Harrison enjoyed watching the workers going up and down on the suspended platforms.

Leo and I were the only ones brave enough to ride this 200 foot high ferris wheel.  It was awesome.

We also played miniature golf.

Harrison and Jeff hit two holes-in-one.  I hit three.

My older brother and part of his family were also there.

I am thankful that we spent Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach.  It was a wonderful trip with a lot of great memories made despite having to evacuate the building because the fire alarm went off.  Apparently someone burned their dinner.

Myrtle Beach 2

A big part of the fun of this resort was the indoor water park.

This was Leo's favorite water slide.  I went down it once and that was enough for me.  Harrison's favorites were the water basketball, the lazy river and the hot tubs.

Grace enjoyed being told how cute she looked in her swim outfit, playing with other kids and not getting splashed in the face.

At the complex we also enjoyed the playground, putting green, pool table, ping pong and shuffle board.

Leo played a trick on Grace.  He got her to stand with him underneath that big bucket that was filling up with water.  When the bucket started to tip over, Grace ran for her life.

Myrtle Beach 1

We went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the week of Thanksgiving.  When we got there, I took the kids straight to the beach while Jeff checked us in.

The very first thing we did was put on swimsuits.  Harrison and Jeff headed to the indoor water park.  Leo, Grace & I headed to the beach.

Every day was a beach day while we were there, no matter the weather, which was actually pretty nice during our stay.  Here are some of my favorite beach pics.

Let the waves hit your feet and the sand be your seat was our motto this week.
