October extras

October started with a roll over and ended with some giggles.
The boys had great dental check-ups with no cavities.  This was Leo's first time getting mouth x-rays.  He had a really hard time keeping still.
Harrison's class held an open classroom after school to show what they've been working on.
at our friends' campsite for dinner
a Chuck E. Cheese reward for the boys' excellent behavior at school
The rest are just cuteness.
They boys were dressed up for the children's program at church.  Harrison wasn't in the mood for a picture but Leo was.
Leo strikes again, this time with his Woody hat.
 blue eyed baby
October gave us a lot to enjoy, including some really nice days.

carving pumpkins

This year the boys wanted to carve their pumpkins.  They drew what kind of faces they wanted on a piece of paper.  Jeff cut and carved the pumpkins and the boys scooped out all the guts.
I sat Grace on the table so she could be part of the action.  She loved watching what was happening.

These are the faces the boys chose.  Harrison's is on the right, Leo's on the left and the middle one is from the Berenstain Bears Halloween book.  They were pretty pleased with how they turned out.

red ribbon week

This week was red ribbon week which encourages the kids to be drug free.
I forgot to take a picture of pajama day (follow your dreams and don't do drugs).
Tuesday was crazy hair and crazy clothes (don't be crazy, don't do drugs).  Harrison did not want to participate with any type of crazy appearance.  Leo was very happy to look crazy.  He picked (what he thought was crazy - two different camouflages) a hunting shirt, army pants, hot dog and banana socks and hair sticking up.
Wednesday was wear red to say not to drugs.
Harrison wanted to take a picture with Grace.
Thursday was dress for success - wear your best.  Leo insisted on wearing a tie and picked this one out himself.  I forgot to take their picture before school so this is after school.  He kept that tie on all day.
Friday was team up against drugs (wear your favorite teach shirt).  Harrison always picks his Penn State shirt when he has team day.  He's 100% team Pennsylvania!

Cub Scouts

Harrison absolutely loves Cub Scouts!  He just got his uniform so I had to take a picture of this handsome boy.
He advanced from a bobcat to a tiger this week.
On his own, he memorized the scout oath and scout law.

first haircut

I brought Grace with me when I got my haircut.  I thought that while I was there Grace could have a few of her long strands trimmed.  Well, it kind of turned into a full haircut.
She sat still and didn't fuss at all.
Now her hair is a more even length all the way around.  I don't know if it's possible but I think Grace might even be a little bit cuter now.
Carole has been cutting my hair for years.  Grace is currently her youngest client.  I love that Carole was the one to give Grace her first haircut and she was thrilled to do it.  (On a side note, I also had my first haircut when I was four months old.)

pumpkins

We made our annual trek across the river to the pumpkin patch.  The first exciting thing was seeing a crane on a boat from the ferry.
The boys get to pick out and cut their own pumpkins.
We all got quite the surprise when Jeff started to pick up Harrison's pumpkin and a mouse shot out of it.
We found the cutest pumpkin in the patch!
The boys thought it was funny to put their hats on the pumpkins.
We all love coming here every year but this year was a little more special because we got to include Grace.  The pumpkin ice cream is pretty special too.
Grace slept on the ferry ride over but was awake on the way back.  She didn't care for all the wind on her face.
