September extras

It has been six years since these two friends were together because Colton moved.  Unfortunately, they came together was when Colton's grandma died.  They seemed to pick up where they left off.

color days

At Grace's school they have a color day once a week, which started mid-September.   Red and orange were the colors this week and last week.

Here are a few other school things Grace did this month.

She's a pro at scanning her ID card to get on & off the bus.

back to school nights

The boys' back to school night was an 80's neon dance party.  I got to informally speak to their teachers and hear what a great job both of the boys are doing so far in school,

Mr. Isaac is Leo's teacher and Ms. Conlon is Harrison's teacher.

Bella is one of Harrison's best friends and Lizzie is one of Leo's best friends.  I should point out that the most each of the boys wanted to dress the theme was Harrison wearing Jeff's AC/DC shirt and Leo wearing neon.

Last night Grace finally had her back to school night.  She was so excited to show me her classroom and the things she loves in it.  The kitchen is her favorite.

On the way out, Grace wanted me to see where her class does sidewalk art while she twirled around.

I'm still feeling like this is going to be a really good school year for all three kids.

beach day

The youth group at our church had a back to school beach bash.  Leo had a soccer game at the same time so it was just me, Harrison & Grace.  It was a lovely way to spend a lovely day.

Harrison was excited to find red coral shaped like a heart.

And once again, he was the bird whisperer.

Some of the older boys dug a big hole which then became a tidal pool, which then became a Barbie swimming pool.

Both the kids had a great time playing in the sand.

While we were at the beach, Leo scored a goal in his game so everyone came home happy.
