Father's Day

When Jeff & I got married, I just knew he would be a great dad some day.  Some day finally came and Jeff has been and is an amazing father.  The way that he loves these kids makes me love him even more as a husband.
Can't you tell the kids adore him.
Jeff & Harrison wore their matching ties.
The kids presented Jeff with their cards and presents, we had a nice meal and then we let him take a three hour uninterrupted nap.  He deserved it.
Thank you Jeff for all that you do!

And thank you Grace for being so cute!

last day of school

I initially wanted the boys to wear the same clothes they did on the first day of school but they have grown so much that none of those clothes fit anymore.  They both have grown leaps and bounds this year, in every way.
Harrison made the sign.  He's holding up two fingers to show he's going to second grade so Leo had to hold up one finger to show he's going to first grade.
the flowers they gave their teachers
I can't say enough about the amazing teachers at this school.  They loved their global studies and PE teachers.
They loved music with Mr. Cabello.
At the end of the day, celebratory music was played and all the teachers came out with pom-poms.  Once all the kids got on the buses, the teachers went to the end of the bus lane, held banners and cheered as everyone drove away for the last time.  The first bus drove through a banner.  All the buses were honking their horns and kids were hanging out of the windows waving and crying.  It was awesome!
Our last walk home for the year.
It was such a great year for the boys that I couldn't help but get a little emotional as we said our final goodbyes to their teachers.  Summer vacation here we come!

STAR award

Harrison was selected to receive an award for his leadership and service to his school and community.  STAR stands for students taking action and responsibility.   Only ten students from each school received a STAR award.  We attended a very nice ceremony with a luncheon for the kids and parents.  I am so proud of Harrison and the desire he has to help others.

gymnastics

Grace has been taking baby gymnastics.  After eight weeks, it was time for her class recital.  Grace was the youngest one and the only one not walking.  She had been sick with a fever and wasn't feeling great the day of the recital but, perked up once we got there.  Isn't she the cutest!!
After the obstacle course, she crawled down the trampoline, walked sideways on the big beam, went to the bars and crawled through a tunnel.
The theme for the recital was "Tumble through the Jungle".  All the classes had to pick outfits to go with the theme.
These three were little buddies.

Cub Scout advancements

Cub Scouts runs with the school year so the boys just had their last pack meeting.  Harrison advanced from the Tiger den to the Wolf den.  This involved replacing the old orange neckerchief with a new red one.
Harrison was so proud and felt bigger.  He told me that he needed to eat raw meat now that he was a wolf.  That would be a no to that idea.
This was Leo's first pack meeting.  He received several badges, was initiated as a Lion and then advanced to a Tiger.  He LOVED the face paint and the attention!
He was pretty proud as well.

Leo's Kindergarten celebration

Leo's Kindergarten showcase was awesome.  He did such a great job singing all the songs.
"First Grade, Baby" was my favorite.
After the performance his class met to have their own little celebration.
Miss Patterson was THE BEST teacher Leo could have had for Kindergarten.
Miss Tatum was also the teacher's assistant for Harrison's class last year.  She's wonderful.
some of Leo's friends:  Bradyn, Lizzie, Kamran and Aiden
The next day Harrison had his class picnic.

Grace's birthday

The boys were so excited about Grace's birthday that they didn't want to go to school that day.  We waited until Jeff got home to have her little party.  It was just us and it was just right.
The boys didn't even give her a chance to blow out her candle.
 She really enjoyed her cake.
She had cake up her nose and picked up her plate and licked the back of it.
After I wiped her down, we "helped" her open presents.
Grace got to play with her new parachute before we ran out the door to go to Cub Scouts.  She loved it!
Happy first birthday Grace!
