We made snow ice cream twice from the big snowfall.

We all agreed that the mint Oreo one was the best.

The kids had three snow days, with two of those being virtual learning.  Grace had three journal entries she did at home.  I thought these were so good!

The Boy Scouts had a campout scheduled before any threat of snow.  They went through with it, (which I think is crazy) camping in tents in below freezing temps.

I'm ready for Spring!

The kids could not wait for it to stop snowing before going out and playing in it.

The kids had some pretty epic snowball fights.  Harrison used his water balloon launcher to propel snowballs fast and far.

The kids had so much fun playing in our yard the first two days, that we waited almost too long to go sledding.  It was starting to get muddy.  No one cared.  

This time we stayed on the smaller hill longer and then moved to the bigger one.

The sea turtle pool floatie worked great!

Three days after it started to snow Grace finally got to build her snowman.  She was so happy, she kissed it.

These Virginia kids were loving the novelty of more snow!

Presidents Day

The kids had Presidents Day off from school.  I'm not sure what you do to celebrate that, but my goal was to keep everyone occupied.

It was a very cold day, so we opted to play inside.

The kids wanted lunch at Sam's and dinner at Chuck E. Cheese. ✔✔

I found this video of Leo telling me what he knew about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.  Apparently, Marshall from Paw Patrol was an important part of their story.  Leo was almost four here.  What a great explanation of why we celebrate these presidents lol.

My favorite part of the story is how the cherry tree calmed down.  I guess I used to say that a lot.  🤣
