January miscellaneous

Some of this and that from January...
the boys looking cute in their sweaters
Leo as Superman at a playdate
Harrison was fascinated by the man tuning our piano
because who doesn't want a snake around their neck
 at the museum with friends
Leo at a birthday party for his friend from school, Liam, where they had an ambulance
after that party, we went over to Lizzie's for Leo to give her a birthday present
these boys
they were excited because it was about to start snowing

January color days

January's color days were:  purple, brown and white.  We missed two color days because they were snow days.

Lego club

One of Harrison's dreams came true.  He's now a member of the Lego club at the library (which is only for 6-11 year olds).  He's been looking forward to this for a long time.  He said it was super awesome.  I asked him if he talked to any of the other kids there.  He said no because everyone was concentrating.
And, the ultimate honor, his Lego creation was displayed in the glass cabinet at the library entrance.  His project is titled "hospital rescue truck".  He is so proud!

birthday parties

In the last two weeks, the boys have been to two super fun birthday parties.  The first one was a bowling party.
This is how Leo "rolls" the ball.
Harrison was picked to help with a special game.
The second party was at My Gym.  It was mostly just free play on all their equipment, which the boys loved.

here we snow again

The boys got two days off of school for this one.  In my opinion, they only should have had one.  They were so disappointed each day when I told them that school was cancelled.  Leo cried the first day.  I'm glad they love school.  They also loved getting to play in the snow again.
They were thrilled to be able to make a snowman this time.
Both Harrison and Leo helped Jeff shovel our walkways and the neighbors'.

snow!!

We knew that snow was coming and that by the next morning we should have a significant amount of snow.  The boys kept waking up all night to look out the window and then wanted to go out at 6:00 AM to go play in it.  We finally braved the frigid temps and strong winds to go sledding.
We played until the zipper on Harrison's coat broke and then went home to warm up with hot chocolate by the fire.
The other special thing that a fresh snowfall brings is snow ice cream.  I think this one was the best one we've ever made.
Everything was more fun in the snow.
They were especially excited to use their new digger in the snow.
Snow much fun!

Christmas Town

For the past three years we've taken the boys to Christmas Town around New Year's.  It's a fun way to end the season and a chance for the boys to tell Santa thank you for what they received.  It was really cold this day so we planned to see as many of the indoor shows as we could.
Of course, we had to see Santa.
Leo had no hesitation with this one.
I couldn't believe they wanted to ride rides with how cold it was but they did.
Harrison was so surprised when he grabbed the steering wheel and it came out that far.  I was surprised what an enjoyable time we had despite being about to freeze.
