Memorial Day

We made a lot of memories this Memorial Day.  We went to Mystic, CT.
The aquarium was super cool.  Everyone enjoyed it.

I think we saw every kind of marine/aquatic life there is...
including touching stingrays.
The nearby village was cute and quirky and just fun to be in.
What a great day and great trip!

Connecticut 2

We got to go to Dave's restaurant twice this trip, once when it was closed (and we had Grace's party) and once when it was open.  It was a real treat to be greeted by so many who wanted to meet our family (and the food was pretty amazing).
Megan brought us donuts one morning and got a makeover at night.
She and Grace went to the trampoline park where Megan was able to teach Grace some new tricks.  Grace was thrilled to learn from her.
We had snuggles in all forms.
We even got to see Grace's great-grandparents' house.
And Jeff even got to complete a new puzzle.
More important than anything else was the quality time we had together.

Connecticut 1

My heart is full.  We experienced so much love in Connecticut!
Our annual Memorial Day weekend trip is usually just a week or so before Grace's birthday.  As a result, she gets two birthday parties while we're there.  Our first get together was with Megan's family at Aunt Joan's house.  I was so busy talking, learning new things and enjoying the company that I took very few pictures.  Luckily, others took a few for me.
One of the very thoughtful gifts Grace received was this gymnastics poster from the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.  Aunt Peggy had it hanging in her college dorm room, kept it all these years, and now gave it to Grace.
We had such a great time playing games (the original Pretty, Pretty Princess) and being together.
Our second get together was with Dave's family at his restaurant.
Aunt Tina made this awesome Barbie cake (per Grace's request).
Once again, the generosity was overwhelming.  Not only was Grace showered with gifts, so were the boys.  Both of these families love the boys and also give them gifts.
Grace was handed down a very special dress, from one princess to the next.
