June this & that

A hot day at the fire station with the captain gone means we get to play with the hose and then help fill the firetruck back up.
Leo's last gymnastics class for this session
Harrison's last intro to karate class
at Kara's birthday party
and the first time at the splash park this summer
Check out the bucket in mid-air.
Leo acting like a dinosaur in an outdoor play at the museum.   They asked for a volunteer and he was the first to raise his hand.
He was only supposed to touch the snake with one finger.
Harrison making a bug catcher at the Home Depot workshop.

children's museum

It had been a while since we last visited the children's museum but the boys seemed to remember the things they loved to do there.  They had a lot of fun.
playing with bubbles
I didn't realize until after I started to video that I was in the show too.
When we left the museum to walk to the van, Harrison wanted me to take a picture of this frog and this fire hydrant.  The boys had never seen one that was silver and green before.  Whatever makes them happy.

zoo

Let's start with the goats because they were Leo's favorite this trip.  He loved them so much that we had to go back a second time to play with them.  Harrison wasn't as crazy about them.
watching the monkeys and being monkeys
One of the great things about this zoo are all the water areas the kids can play in.
We were all excited to see the giraffes because there's a three-week-old baby giraffe.
That's the biggest turtle I have ever seen.
The boys said the water was cold but it didn't stop them.

end of school fun

To celebrate the end of school, we took the boys to an ice cream shop where they use liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream right in front of you.  We had a lot of fun eating what they call "dragon breath".  It's cereal soaked in liquid nitrogen.
Do you think the boys enjoyed it?!  Also worth noting is that Leo is wearing the same outfit (shoes included) that Harrison wore on his first day of school. (see below) I guess they both have grown a lot this year!
I forgot to get an official last day of school picture.  This was the only picture I remembered to take, with his very nice bus driver, Mr. Mark, and sweet bus aide, Ms. Deborah.  They loved Harrison and he loved them.
The other fun thing we did to celebrate school finally being over (on June 15) was that we took the boys to see Cars 3.
Let the summer fun begin!

new video

We had to make a video about our family.
I love how it turned out.  It was fun reliving each of these moments.

gymnastics recital

He did great on dismount.

This is Leo's whole class.  He liked being the only boy.  Leo tends to misbehave when there's another boy in the class.  They were all supposed to wear matching outfits for the "Flipping Under the Sea" theme.  I thought they were really cute.
