animals

At the museum we watched them catching, weighing, measuring and documenting turtles.  The boys were most fascinated at how the turtles were trying to climb out of the box.
 Last weekend's party animals...
Today was the zoo.  Brushing the goats was Leo's favorite.  Harrison said he didn't want to touch the goats because he didn't want to wash his hands.  Okay then.
Harrison's favorite thing was playing in the zoo fountains.

amusing

It was an amusing day at the amusement park.  The boys are an endless source of entertainment!
Leo didn't want to ride the roller coaster and Harrison did.  So we just watched.  Jeff & Harrison are sitting in the front.  Listen for Leo's voice at the end.  He's worried about Jeff losing his hat.
They both love the water and Leo liked the water pushing his swimsuit down.  He had to keep pulling it up.
Harrison is fearless with water play which scares me a little.  He just has to run on wet ground.
This was their first time on the teacups.
They didn't want to ride this one again.

Father's Day

What can I say about what a great dad Jeff is, only that he is.  The boys adore him and so do I.
The boys were very excited to give him the gifts they made including this mug they painted at the art center.  I don't believe I will ever think the inside is clean.
We are so lucky to have this daddy in our family!

summer days

I'm forecasting that this is what a lot of our summer is going to look like:  days at the park and playing in the sand and water.  It doesn't take much to make the boys happy.
The water was still pretty cool so I didn't even put the boys in swimsuits.  I thought they would be content to just play in the sand....wrong.
I love how Leo still has perfect hair after several hours playing.  That's some good hair gel.

gymnastics recital

Leo's gymnastics recital theme was passport to Rio since this is an Olympic year.  Each child had a routine to showcase all their skills.  It was pretty cute.
I hate that the balloons got int he way of Leo's flip off the trampoline.
This is the Monday morning 3 year old class.
Leo's favorite parts of the night were everyone clapping for him, our whole family being there and watching him (instead of just me) and getting his medal at the end.

how we started summer

I let the boys pick the first "summer" activity to do the day after preschool was over and the splash park was it.
The park/farm was the second choice.
The horse stuck his head out as soon as we walked up, like he wanted us to pet him.  Harrison loved it.  Leo didn't.
It was ocean day at the museum.  This time Leo was the one that wanted to touch the baby whale and Harrison did not.
Apparently shark week is coming up.

last day of school

Hard to believe today was the last day of preschool for Harrison.  I wanted the boys to wear the same outfits they wore on the first day of school to compare.   Since that picture in September, both their feet have outgrown those shoes and Leo's can't fit into the same shorts.

Harrison had a wonderful school year!  He learned and grew so much and made a lot of new friends.  Every day a calendar went home with a sticker for good behavior.  If a sticker wasn't there, there was a written explanation as to why.  Harrison received a sticker every day except for two.  He was proud of those stickers.  I'm going to miss his daily report of what happened at school, his job for the day and who had to sit in the calming spot.  It was a joy seeing his face as he ran to me each day when class was over.  Leo was the first to hug him nearly every time.  I am so thankful for a positive first school experience.  Harrison also wore holes in the knees of two pairs of pants this school year.  I guess that means he had lots of fun.

preschool celebration

Harrison's preschool had their end of year celebration.  All the classes got to do something and each child got a "diploma".
Harrison's class was supposed to sing the Hosannah song for the Easter program but never got to.  Instead they performed it at the end of the year.
 Harrison LOVED his teachers!
 Miss Rebecca and Miss Lisa
After the program was a little reception where the teachers gave each of the students a gift.  Harrison tore into his bucket right away so I had to put it back together once we got home for a picture.  It had fun things like sidewalk chalk, bubbles, kool-aid, popsicles and play dough.  They also made a CD of all the songs they sang this year as well as a little photo album with pictures throughout the year.  Lastly, they laminated a paper with measurements from earlier in the year and now.  Since November, Harrison grew an inch and gained one and a half pounds.  It also had a poem about saying goodbye.
