January extras

Grace sat still a few times for me and let me do some different things to her hair.
Chef Harrison making sweet potato wedges.
The boys were digging around a tree in the backyard and came in yelling that they found an egg.
Jeff cut it open and we discovered that it was actually a cocoon for what would have been a large moth.
thrift store treasures the boys picked out
Leo & Grace playing the floor is lava (with lava shields on) and at school during the Chinese New Year parade.
at the museum's new exhibit on baby dinosaurs
Harrison hatching out of an egg.
My favorite part of the picture below is Grace's sweet little face reflection.
 Harrison with his friend Alina
I also had to include something funny Harrison said.  I was putting chicken breasts in a skillet and Harrison asked me what kind of meat it was.  I asked him what he thought it was.  He said "human meat".  Ummmmm, no.

park day

We took advantage of a nice day to go on a walk in the park, feed the birds and play at the playground.
my poser
talk about a flock of seagulls
I guess they were hungry.
That's a cheese doodle in that bird's beak.
Grace stayed very close to me during the feeding frenzy.
Forget the birds, it's swings and slides for this girl.

Leo's work

Here's a sample of the work Leo brought home last week.  I thought these were cute.
His hero is George Washington because he was the first president.
(Leo:  I accidentally made him look like Mickey Mouse)
Can you guess who Leo is talking about on the next paper?
Why is he so important?
What did he believe?
I have a dream for light skin can be together with dark skin forever together.
This one is about the frog he caught with my mom in Texas last summer.
My Frog
One day I called my grandma.
I said can I have the frog for my birthday.
I said she said yes.  Hooray you are the best grandma ever.
I was so excited I screamed oh yay, hummy!
(hummy is a word Leo thinks he knows from a song that he likes in Spanish)

siblings

I saw this quote the other day: "The greatest gift our parents ever gave us was each other".  And then I saw this, Harrison reading Grace her favorite books.  They didn't even notice that I was taking pictures.
Grace definitely brings out the softer side of the boys.  They love her so much and she loves them and I love all the love!

tigers

In honor of LSU winning the college football national championship, I wanted to post some pictures of my favorite little tiger fans.
Harrison, Leo and Grace have all worn the outfit above and below.
I LOVE this picture of Granddaddy Loy with some of his great-grandchildren.
oh Leo
A few years ago we got to meet some of the players.
(I'm 5'5")
I'm saving this sweatshirt for Grace.
This is one of my all-time favorites of Grace!
eating pizza and watching one of the games
(This outfit was passed down from cousin Alaina.)
Both the boys got these blankets for Christmas.
