field trip & day trip

Harrison's class had a field trip where Leo & I joined them at the end of it. As soon as we arrived all of the kids said hi to Leo.  Addie even grabbed his hand so he'd know where to go. 

 Saturday we all went to the amusement park.  It was so hot that the splash pad was going.  The boys sure had a lot of fun!

Jeff had two and a half weeks of military training at Fort Hood, Texas.  This is at the airport picking him up.  He brought Leo an Army bear.

He brought Harrison a real Texas Ranger badge.

 Harrison lost a toenail while Jeff was gone and we have no idea why.  It was gross!!  The whole thing came off the day after the picture.

Leo received a gift card for his birthday and all he wanted was snakes and that's what he got, seven of them.

We had to buy a new lawnmower and Harrison was super excited to help Jeff put it together.

April color days

Harrison only had three color days because of spring break:  pink, black and blue.

 Leo only had one color day, purple.

Happy Easter!

We went to two Easter egg hunts.  Harrison was the oldest kid at both of them and was the most serious about it.

 They absolutely didn't want to pose for pictures and the sun was too bright for Leo.  He was better once he got sunglasses.

 One of my favorite Easter traditions is making resurrection rolls with the boys.  These are yummy and it's a good way to sum up the real meaning of Easter.

 

 Lastly, Leo finally got to dye eggs this year.  You can actually buy artificial (allergy free) dyeable eggs.

It's always big fun when Aunt Becky is here!

We spent an afternoon at the little beach close by.

 When Harrison went back to school, Leo was able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with Aunt Becky and he loved it!
