pool pictures

We went to our neighborhood pool a few days ago.  Since Harrison is doing so well with swim lessons, I wanted to try to take some underwater pictures of him swimming.  I couldn't believe how good these turned out, especially since all I did was hold the camera under the water and hope for the best.
Christian giving Harrison a ride as seen from below and above the water.
 This is how Leo swims.
He finally agreed to wear the little floaty and had a blast doing his modified dog paddle!

water park

Jeff took the boys and Christian to the water park.  You can see how much fun they had.  I am very proud of how the boys try new slides and rides.  This was the first time they went down this slide and they loved it.

I love the water dripping off of Leo's chin.
And I love how Harrison is working on his swimming skills.

cousin Christian's visit part 1

My nephew, Christian is visiting us from Illinois for three and half weeks.  The boys adore him and couldn't be happier that he's here.  Christian is great playing with them and being an extra set of hands for me.  This is what we've been up to with him so far.
They were catching jellyfish and burying them in the sand.
Leo wanted to wear Christian's goggles first.
And then Harrison also wanted to wear them.
We've been to the splash park, museum (twice) and art center with him so far.
When Leo touched the alligator he said, "tickle, tickle".
I happened to catch Leo mid air and then tried to get him throwing the ball.
Christian is a cross-country runner and let Harrison go with him (at the end of his run).
We made sand pudding.
Harrison & Leo are loving having a big brother around!

Harrison's adoption day

The boys are always asking whose birthday or what holiday is next.  When Harrison found out that his adoption day was right after Jeff's birthday he was just about beside himself with excitement.  He couldn't wait for his special day.  He knew he would be getting one present and kept asking for a garbage truck with forks.  Anyway, he pretty much got to pick the food and activities for the day and he loved it.  He wanted monkey bread for breakfast and Chick-fil-A for dinner.  It was Harrison's special day and he told everyone (and I mean everyone) he met that it was his adoption day.
He wanted to go to the splash park and for me to take a picture and video of him climbing.
Leo's friend Joe happened to be there too.
While Leo was napping, Harrison got to build roller coasters with cousin Christian.
Finally, after waiting all day, Harrison got to open his adoption day present, a garbage truck with forks!  He was so happy, he wanted to sleep with it.
I also got him a little snorkel set for when we go to the beach.  The flippers didn't fit Harrison but they did Leo.

Happy Birthday Jeff

Taking the boys to the dollar store and letting them pick out three presents, a card and balloon for Jeff's birthday is not easy but it's so cute that we had to do it.  This year's gifts from Harrison were a squirt gun, a matchbox rescue boat and a hand-held fan.  Leo's gifts to Jeff were a water squirter, colander (that I think he thought was a hat) and a soda koozie that said "Do they ever shut up on your planet?".   Harrison's card said happy birthday little guy and Leo's was actually a get well card.  I kept asking them if these were things they thought Daddy would like and they were confident that he would and he did.  Happy Birthday Jeff!

dino pajama party

The museum held a members only after hours pajama party.  The boys were very excited about going there in their pajamas.  This little alligator was greeting everyone as they walked in.  Leo wanted to touch.  Harrison did not.
I asked Harrison to put his arm around Leo.  Maybe I should have said hold his hand.
Leo walking like a dinosaur.

They really enjoyed the bounce house, games and eating all the treats.  It was a fun night!
