March extras

We had several nice days in March, so the kids got a lot of outdoor play time.
our first Spring flowers
March also had sadness.  Grandma Denise died.  Grace and I drove to Mississippi for the funeral and to be there for my dad.
She lovingly made quilts for each of the kids when they were born.  I love that they have this special momento to remember her.
Jeff did some big things for the kids in the back yard this month.  1. He hung Grace's climbing rope, which also involved cutting down a tree limb.  (Harrison helped)
2. He built a platform for the zipline.
3. He put up the giant soccer net Leo got for his birthday. (in the background)
school breakfast and at a birthday party
March is supposed to come in like a lion and out like a lamb.  I always feel like that's opposite for us as Leo's birthday is at the end of March.  I'm looking forward to a lamb in April.

Happy Birthday Leo

It's been a quick 12 years since March 27, 2013.
Unfortunately, he had to go to school on his birthday; however, he had intramural soccer after school and then soccer practice for parks & rec with Taco Bell in between.  That made up for the having to go to school part.
Jeff made the cookie cake Leo wanted.
presents to end the day
Leo chose Cook Out for his birthday dinner which we had to delay until the weekend.
Twelve years of life at full throttle with this kid.  Life is never, ever boring with him.  He is our larger-than-life Leo!  Looking back at his first three birthdays, I don't think much has changed.
He still loves to eat.
He still loves being active.
He's still as cute as he can be and we still love him more than he knows.

assessments

The kids had dental check-ups and once again, no cavities for any of them!!!
Leo has no baby teeth left and Grace has six loose teeth!
Harrison had to go straight from the dentist to his band concert.
The two songs they were assessed on were "Lost Woods Fantasy" and "Legend of the Water Dragon".
This was a huge part of Harrison's grade.  He played perfectly and their band got the highest marks!

mer-mazing

We jumped on the mermaid photo shoot when we found out about the one-day event.  Grace LOVES mermaids and was able to live the dream for an hour.
Grace is mer-mazing and so are these photos!  She had a lot of fun being our little mermaid.
