family time
My mom was here for ten wonderful days!
The kids each had their own special things they wanted to do with her. Grace had a lot of playtime with my mom while the boys were in school. Harrison wanted to go on a "date" with her to Dairy Queen.
Leo requested that she make an Oreo cake and watch wrestling with her.
We all hated to see her go!
The boys spent a lot of time with my brother making and flying paper airplanes but I didn't get one picture of that. My niece, Lauren, did Grace's hair for the baptism.

My sister took the boys to the "secret beach" for an afternoon of adventure but neither she nor I got any pictures of them all together.
Harrison looks like a giant because he is standing on a rock. They're holding a baby crab they caught.
Now I regret not taking more pictures of the kids with all their family that was here for Leo's baptism but living in and enjoying the moment usually takes precedence over pictures.

Leo's birthday and baptism
First of all, I can't believe Leo is 8 years old! He wanted giant muffins for breakfast.
He got to open one present at breakfast...a new wrestling action figure.
This was a very special birthday for Leo because at 8, he became old enough to choose if he wanted to be baptized and confirmed a member of our church. He was so excited. My mom from Texas, my sister from North Carolina and my brother's family from St. Louis all came to be here for his special day. The rest of our family joined us by Zoom.
His baptismal service and confirmation was just beautiful. Leo felt very loved and supported. Not everyone he invited could come but he was still surrounded by special people in his life. After the service we went to Olive Garden for dinner (Leo's choice).
We are extremely proud of Leo and the young man he is becoming.
He already has a desire to follow the Savior's example. He tries really hard to make good choices and love and serve others. May he always keep that Christ-like love for others and always want to choose the right.
