more fun with Aunt Becky

It's always a big time when my sister comes to visit.  We pack in just as much as we can.
Cuties ready for church.
Always a trip to the museum.
Harrison really wanted a butterfly to land on him.  He got close.  What he did get was a very small lizard.  He caught one by the tail (which came off - gross) and then finally captured the whole thing.
Love Leo with the sea turtle and love this picture.  By the way, Harrison swore this sign said "dinosaurs on the earth eat flowers".
We always have fun at the pool.

Leo reached a milestone.  He can now touch the bottom of the shallow end.  He is so proud.

ice skating

Since watching an ice show at Christmas, the boys have been wanting to go ice skating.  We got an opportunity and we took it with my sister here to help.
Leo did great!  Of course he needed tons of help at first but after a few times around he could skate a little on his own.
I think Harrison thought ice skating would be a lot easier than it was.  Gradually he grew more confident, even where he wanted to skate on only one foot.

After a long break entertaining our friends' baby, he decided to try it again and guess what...he was able to venture out on his own too.
I believe their first ever time ice skating was a success!

another beach day

My sister drove up from Atlanta to visit before the boys go back to school.  They wanted to do several things with her while she was here but first on the list was the beach.
The waves were a little rough at first but thankfully calmed down a bit.
It was a super fun day with a super fun aunt and we even saw dolphins!

trip to Philly

We made a quick trip to Philly, up one day and back the next.  Our first stop (as requested by Harrison) was to the hospital where he was born.  He wanted to bring his book and match up the pictures in the book with the actual places.  We found a very nice nurse that helped us do that.  Harrison now has his own memory of where he spent the first five days of his life.  That made him happy.
The pictures on the left are from December 2011.  The pictures on the right were just taken.
I look about the same but Harrison grew by 40 pounds.  He's not quite as easy to hold as he used to be.
Next we went to the hotel where we did a lot of swimming and relaxing.
Leo's expression here kills me.
The next day was the real reason for our trip.  We toured the new LDS temple in Philadelphia.  You can see more pictures of it here.
After that we started the drive home.  About half-way there we spotted a park, stopped and let the boys burn some energy.
It was a long but meaningful weekend.

more pool pics

We've really been enjoying the pool this summer.  Harrison has been enjoying jumping in the water and being underwater.  Leo has been enjoying staying on top of the water.
