April extras

At the end of each month I try to go through my pictures to see what I haven't posted (or forgot to post).  Here you go.
This was the first time I captured Grace saying da-da on video.  She can say ma-ma but refuses to say it on demand.  By the way, when I asked her where Daddy is, she turned to look at the door.
I love it when Grace uses things the boys had as babies, like this towel.
She's taking a baby gymnastics class.
This is the scoot-crawl.
We went to the park on a beautiful day with some friends.  Grace loves the swings!  One of Leo's friends lost his lizard.  Leo searched the entire playground and finally found the little guy, as well as this racket.
Now that Grace is crawling, she can get into things.  I had forgotten that the child lock was broken on this drawer.  She had a great time pulling out the sandwich bags.
Harrison wrote this message for Grace on the fridge and was very excited to show us. 💗
The boys love our neighbor, who we call Grandma Anne.  She is out of town and Harrison wanted to use his push mower to keep her yard nice while she was gone.  He loves to help and I love how thoughtful he is!

trampoline

When time and weather allow, someone is on the trampoline.  I like to get on there with Grace and watch her bounce and crawl around on it.  Yesterday her hair was giving us a little show.  A few snapshots of her staticky hair turned into the boys wanting me to take pictures of them.
It's often when I am doing simple, silly things like this with the kids that it hits me.  Dreams do come true.  For so many years I would have given anything to be where I am now.  I hope I never forget that.

Easter

I feel like this was the year that the boys finally understood that Easter wasn't about the Easter Bunny.  We talked a lot about why we celebrate Easter and what that means.  I asked the boys to please not complain about dressing up, going to church and taking pictures.  (Those are some of the things they like to complain about).  They were perfect at church and did great with the picture taking.  It was a beautiful Easter morning!
Of course we also did Easter baskets but the boys tore into those before I could get any pictures.  All Grace really cared about were the plastic eggs.  She loved playing with those!
We had our own Easter egg hunt.  The boys love doing our own because they don't have to compete with other kids.  Leo found the golden egg.  It had three dollars in change in it.  It was like he won the lottery.
the best thing in the basket
We dyed eggs and then to wrap up the day we made our traditional resurrection rolls.  Those are always a huge hit.
The tomb is empty.  He is risen.  Happy Easter!

cuteness

We had a lot of cuteness going on with the boys but the cuteness factor in our family skyrocketed when Grace came along.
Leo wanted to look like a real cowboy so he took a permanent marker and drew a mustache.  This was not cute at the time but kind of is now.
Leo has brought flowers to his teacher nearly every day since our Azaleas started to bloom.
I don't think there's much cuter than siblings who adore each other.

spring break

Spring Break was go, go, go the entire week.
Harrison's friend, Zoe, wanted him to come to the museum with her for her birthday.  Among other things, he gave her a Barbie.
Leo had fun with some of the building toys there and putting Grace in "baby jail".
Zoe grabbed Harrison's hand every chance she got.
We also went to the zoo.
It's always a thrill when the animals are close.
One of the things the boys love there is a giant snake they play on.
And of course there were real snakes and dozens of other animals we saw.  All three of the kids had a great time!
We met Jeff one day for lunch.  The boys had never been to Cici's Pizza and now it's their favorite restaurant.  I caught the pizza crust thief!
We got our money's worth of our week pass at the Bounce House.
We went to the builders lab at the library.  Leo titled his creation "the awesome fighting of war".
Harrison named his "the Lego mansion".
We opened bank accounts for the boys with their own money.
Harrison loves to look at the safe.
In addition to lots of playtime at the house, the boys also had dental check-ups.  No cavities and perfect teeth but Harrison was disappointed that his six year molars hadn't started to come in yet and one of Leo's has.  Spring Break wore me out!
