The boys had Presidents' Day off from school. When asked what fun thing they wanted to do on their free day, they said go to nature. It has been cold and wet for so long here that everything is basically one big mud puddle.
It didn't matter. The kids love walking through the mud in their boots.
Harrison really wanted to catch minnows, frogs or turtles but instead fished out some Chinese objects from the water. I'm guessing it had something to do with Chinese New Year but who knows.
Of course it's always fun to feed and chase the seagulls.
I wouldn't call this an ideal day for a nature walk but we take what we can get.
