vacation phase 2 continued

The next two days we stayed in a lake house that my brother's friend let us use and that was pretty awesome!  There's something about a house that is exclusively used for vacationing that makes you feel more relaxed.  It was weird doing things like this without Harrison.  I kept thinking how much he would have enjoyed everything we were doing.
I just knew that Leo would want to be jumping off the dock and swimming in the lake but he didn't.  He was more content playing on the land and exploring the surroundings than being in the water.  He was not happy when we put him in the raft.
The top floor of the house had wall-to-wall bunk beds.  Leo really surprised us by wanting to sleep up there with Lauren and Christian.  I was worried that he might get scared during the night but he didn't.  He felt like a big boy sleeping up there with his cousins.
Isn't this a great view for breakfast?!
From there we went to historic Nauvoo, Illinois where we didn't get many pictures.  It was hard for Leo to sit through demonstrations of how things were done in the 1800's but he did get brave and touch a horse although there's no photographic proof.
We also spent time at the pool (surprise, surprise).
Leo was having Christian help him touch the bottom.

Leo chased their poor cat all around the house.  The cat was constantly hiding and Leo was constantly trying to find him.
