Fall soccer

Fall soccer season is finally over.  We had four team schedules to keep up with and they all overlapped each other.  It was a lot.  Grace missed several practices and games because of gymnastics but she still had fun.  Her coach is the same one she had when she first started playing and she already knew most of the kids on the team.
And her good friend Emma played with her.  The coach constantly got these two confused.
Leo's middle school team didn't make it to the playoffs but did well.  Leo loved playing with several of his friends.
Harrison's middle school team had their best season yet.  They made it to the semi-finals in the playoffs but lost after a great effort.
Parks & Rec soccer had both of the boys on the same team (thank goodness).  Several times the boys would play a game for middle school and then go to a Parks & Rec game right after.
They played many of their friends on opposing teams. 😢
A highlight of the season was that Harrison scored his very first goal ever!  He usually plays goalie or defense so is never in a scoring position.  He played offense several games on this team and scored an amazing goal one inch higher than the goalie and one inch lower than the cross bar.  We all went nuts and Leo celebrated with him on the field.  I made Harrison pose in front of the goal and that's Leo over his shoulder.
They had a hard loss in the first round of the playoffs 1-0.  Leo came home with a fat lip and a limp.
Grace's team was undefeated, but her age doesn't have playoffs.
She decided that she would take a break from soccer for now, Harrison decided not to do indoor winter soccer because of band, so that leaves Leo as the only one doing indoor soccer for winter.  That is fine with me!
