We chose a new place to pick apples this year. Unfortunately, although the farm closed at 5:00, the orchard closed at 3:00, ten minutes after our arrival. Plus, it was drizzling rain and the temperature was cooler than expected. Nevertheless, we decided to stay and see what else the farm had to offer.
First, we found this awesome play area with pedal power go carts, which the boys especially enjoyed, and so many other unexpected fun things.

After we looked at the farm animals, we wandered into the sunflower field, mine and Grace's favorite part. The boys were less thrilled about it.
I was shocked how many bees were still pollinating.
The kids all agreed that the apple cider slushies were worth the trip, even if we didn't get to pick any apples.
