drive back to Virginia

Day 1:  We left at 4:00 AM so the boys would sleep a few hours on the road.  Too bad that didn't happen.  So we ended up making our first stop earlier than hoped.  I'm glad we did though because how many times can you say you are in two places at the same time?  We took a different route on the way home and went through Texarkana which sits on the state line of Texas and Arkansas.
No matter where we stop, the first thing the boys want to do is get out and run.

Leo in Arkansas and Harrison in Texas.
Then everyone took a turn standing or sitting in two states at once.
Our big stop that day was at the discovery center in Little Rock.
There were lots of fun things to do, but I think the highlight of this one for Harrison was Big Bird.  He loves him some Big Bird!
We drove through to Nashville and stayed the night at my little brother's.  The boys loved seeing their cousins Caitlin and Alaina again.
Day 2:  We started out at 5:00 AM and this time the boys went back to sleep, until Leo threw up.  Our first big stop that day was in Knoxville at their discovery center.  The first thing the boys wanted to do was play on the playground.  Leo climbed up that ladder to the slide all by himself.
Finally we made it to our last stop at a rest area in Virginia that should have only been 2 hours from home.  Unfortunately we got stuck in traffic and tacked another hour on to the trip.  Needless to say, we were all DONE by the time we pulled into the garage.  We drove over 3100 miles through 10 states with a total of about 42 hours of driving with 19 days in between.  Considering all that,
the boys were awesome!
